Tiffany Stratton Suffers Frightening Head-First Fall During Money in the Bank Match
WWE superstar Tiffany Stratton gave fans a major scare after a dangerous ladder spot went horribly wrong during the Women’s Money in the Bank match.
The shocking incident occurred when Stratton climbed to the top of a ladder and attempted a high-risk flip onto a group of wrestlers gathered below. However, the move did not go as planned. As she launched herself from the ladder, her trajectory fell short, causing her to crash head and neck first into the mat in a frightening impact.
Video of the mishap quickly spread across social media, with many fans expressing concern after seeing Stratton immediately clutch the back of her neck while grimacing in pain. Alternate camera angles appeared to show the ladder wobbling just as she jumped, potentially altering her landing path and contributing to the dangerous fall.
Some observers also questioned whether the wrestlers positioned to catch Stratton were able to get into place properly before impact. Wrestling analyst Bryan Alvarez later criticized the setup of the stunt, arguing that the ladder was positioned in a way that made the move far more dangerous from the beginning.
According to Alvarez, Stratton jumped from the side of the ladder rather than in the direction of its legs, increasing the likelihood that the ladder would shift as she pushed off. He suggested the spot was effectively “set up for failure” because the ladder’s instability made it difficult to execute safely.
Despite the brutal landing, Stratton was examined by medical personnel at ringside and was eventually cleared to continue competing. Showing remarkable toughness, the 27-year-old fought through the pain and went on to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase, becoming the first woman in WWE history to win the match twice.
Following her victory, Stratton admitted the fall had taken a toll on her physically.
“My neck still hurts, but I wanted to do anything it took to get that briefcase,” she said after the match.
The scary moment served as a reminder of the risks professional wrestlers take every time they step into the ring, particularly during ladder matches, which are known for producing some of the sport’s most spectacular but dangerous moments. Fortunately for Stratton, what initially appeared to be a potentially catastrophic injury did not prevent her from completing the match and celebrating a historic career achievement.
