World Record Finally Falls… Humanity Breathes Easier After Extremely Fast Tent Assembly

If you’ve been lying awake at night wondering whether two people could pitch a camping tent in under two minutes…

…you may finally get some sleep.

Two experienced campers from the United Kingdom recently earned a Guinness World Record by assembling a two-person tent in just over one minute, proving once and for all that civilization continues to move boldly into the future.

The pair reportedly spent weeks practicing the feat before making their official record attempt under Guinness guidelines. Every stake had to be properly secured, every pole correctly positioned, and the tent had to be fully standing before the clock could stop.

No shortcuts.

No duct tape.

No simply throwing a tarp over a couple of lawn chairs.

Guinness officials certified the accomplishment after confirming the tent met all the required standards.

Camping enthusiasts applauded the impressive display of teamwork and preparation.

Everyone else responded with a slightly different question:

“…Why?”

Historians were unable to identify a single documented case in which someone shouted:

“Hurry! The marshmallows are getting cold! We have exactly 68 seconds to get this tent up!”

Veteran campers pointed out that the first five minutes of any camping trip are traditionally spent arguing about which pole goes where, reading the instructions upside down, and insisting, “No, I swear it fit last year.”

One local camper admitted he has personally spent more time looking for the bag containing the tent stakes than these record holders spent assembling the entire campsite.

“I’ve spent 20 minutes trying to figure out which side is the front,” he confessed.

“I didn’t even know tents had a front.”

Guinness World Records congratulated the campers on their achievement, while millions of ordinary campers quietly celebrated a different personal record:

Successfully fitting the tent back into its original carrying bag.

A feat many experts still believe may be impossible.
