His Boyfriend’s Mother Was 50 and Pregnant. The Mother Willed the Baby to a 21-Year-Old in Idaho if She Doesn’t Make It:
‘Let’s Use Our Brains!’

Having children is a precarious decision for women, especially at a later age. Westley (@mushie_cat) from Idaho found out that his boyfriend’s mother was pregnant at 50. Because of her age and health, the woman had an unusual contingency plan for her baby involving Westley and her son, Alex.
Westley told TikTok that he and Alex were hanging out when they received a text. Alex’s mother messaged them, announcing that she may be pregnant. They were surprised, and Westley stated that Alex called his mother to confirm. The man was in disbelief, asking his mother if she’d taken a test.
“I’ve taken two tests, and I’ve gone to the doctor, and they all say that I’m pregnant,” the woman replied. Westley himself was in shock, speechless that this was happening. He explained that her medicine cabinet could “singlehandedly fund a pharmacy in the Pentagon.”
It’s hyperbolic, but Westley’s point is that the woman is not in the best condition. Although he finds his boyfriend’s mother wonderful, Westley is concerned for her health.
“Okay, so are we exercising our right to choose? Because this will kill you,” Alex allegedly said at the time, on a call with his mother.
“I don’t know,” his mother supposedly replied. Again, the couple was surprised at her response. Westley believes that her body couldn’t safely host a baby.
“If the baby were to live, it would send her straight to Jesus. And they could both go straight to Jesus—return to sender,” Westley stated in panic. The woman reasoned that she’d do anything for her kids, but Alex supposedly reasoned that his mother should also think of him—her child. He didn’t want to lose her early.
Accidental acquisition
Alex allegedly started pleading for his mother to think about having the child. But the mother supposedly cared less about risking her life, with her next words leaving the couple out of breath.
“I’m already writing out a will,” she said. They just received the information, but it appears that Westley’s mother was already preparing for the grim possibility.
“When I die, I want you and Westley to take the baby,” she added. Westley is just 21 years old, and he’d only been dating Alex for six months. As he was listening to his boyfriend’s mother talk about the will, Westley was speechless.
“You want us to adopt his sibling together?” Westley said, and the woman said that it’s what she wanted. To that, Westley didn’t want to be willed a child. Eventually, Alex’s mother hung up.
She had spoken to Alex’s sister, and in a twist, even the sister agreed that Westley and Alex should take the baby.
“Let’s use our brains,” Westley said, still floored by the responsibility suddenly being thrust upon him and his boyfriend.
“I have $37 in my savings account, I have a Panda Express addiction, and I’m pretty sure that if somebody gave me a Maui Wowie-flavored vape, I would sell my soul,” Westley continued. Essentially, he was not ready for a child—even though he wants to have them in the future.
There might still be a baby
But the mother went on about wanting to put the child in custody of Alex and Westley if she passes. All the while, Alex and Westley were panicking—both lamenting the thought of sudden fatherhood. It’s like a case of teenage pregnancy, except two other people are expected to shoulder the consequences.
“Anyway, long-story short, she’s not pregnant,” Westley said. He said that Alex’s mother was just having a hormonal imbalance. He was relieved at first, but a few days later, he went on TikTok again to announce that he was mistaken.
There could still be a child, according to his boyfriend. The doctors have not yet ruled out the pregnancy. Nevertheless, Westley stated that he and Alex wouldn’t take the baby, even if there were one.
