Family Saves an Abandoned Donkey and Gets the Sweetest Surprise Overnight

TikToker Letto Lee (@letolee), based in Texas, is no stranger to her older children bringing home stray animals in need. On the morning of May 31st, her sons were walking home when they came across a donkey tied to a fence along a busy road.

Not wanting to leave it behind, they untied the animal and led it back to their house, planning to contact animal rescue services the next day.

What they didn’t expect was the unexpected turn of events that followed. After settling the donkey in for the night, the family woke up to an incredible sight—the donkey had given birth to a healthy baby overnight.

The surprise was made even more touching when they realized the donkey wasn’t male, as initially assumed, but a mother who had just delivered her newborn.

In her video caption, Lee wrote, “At 3 a.m., my sons found this donkey abandoned by the roadside. They walked it home since they lived close by, intending to call for help in the morning. But when they woke up, the donkey had welcomed a beautiful baby.”
