On Tuesday, the Trump White House posted a compilation video on X showing arrests of individuals who had entered the country illegally over the past year. The clip was set to Sabrina Carpenter’s 2024 hit song “Juno.” The accompanying caption referenced a recurring line from the track: “Have you ever tried this one?” followed by “Bye-bye.”

Carpenter—who has been an outspoken critic of President Trump and endorsed Kamala Harris during the last election—expressed outrage that her song was used in a video depicting law enforcement officers apprehending violent offenders. She condemned the footage as “evil and disgusting” and said, “Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

The White House responded sharply, referencing lyrics from Carpenter’s song “Manchild” from her album Short n’ Sweet.

“Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina: We won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country,” said White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson.

“Anyone who would defend these individuals must be stupid—or is it slow?” she added.
