FBI Investigates Hunting Stand Overlooking President Trump’s Air Force One Exit in Palm Beach

November 3, 2025 – Palm Beach, FL — Federal agents are investigating a “suspicious” hunting stand discovered with a clear view of where President Donald Trump’s Air Force One parks and exits at Palm Beach International Airport.

The investigation, now led by the FBI, began after the Secret Service located the structure during a routine security sweep on October 20. Officials confirmed the stand was found across from a section of the airport where private planes—including Air Force One—sometimes park due to ongoing construction in other areas of the airfield.

No individuals were present when the stand was discovered, and President Trump’s travel plans were not affected, authorities said. According to a source cited by Fox News, the stand appeared to have been placed there “months ago.”

Reptile hunter Mike Kimmel, widely known as the Python Cowboy, believes the investigation is unnecessary. Kimmel told NBC News the structure has long been a familiar sight to local hunters and photographers.

“When we first saw it, Joe Biden was president,” Kimmel said. “It looked old and dilapidated even then. It never gave off any suspicious vibe.”

Kimmel added that the area is a popular iguana-hunting and wildlife photography location and that the stand was “clearly” built for those purposes.

“All you got to do is talk to us,” he said, suggesting that investigators could have easily verified its origin with locals.

President Trump arrived in Florida on Friday and is spending the weekend in West Palm Beach, a frequent stop given his nearby Mar-a-Lago residence.

The discovery comes amid heightened security concerns surrounding the president. In July, a gunman opened fire during one of Trump’s campaign rallies in Butler, Pennsylvania. The shooter was killed by Secret Service agents, though one attendee was fatally wounded and two others were injured.

In a separate case last September, a man was arrested at a West Palm Beach golf course for plotting to assassinate the president. That suspect, Ryan Routh, was convicted last month and is awaiting sentencing.

Federal authorities have continued to make arrests related to various threats against President Trump as security around his Florida visits remains under tight scrutiny.
