TIGARD, Ore. (KATU) — Tigard police had an unusual visitor during a quiet night on patrol: a skunk with its head stuck in a jar.
Officers responded to a call in the Southwest Pinebrook and 91st area to help the distressed animal. They found the skunk stumbling in the dark but were able to carefully remove the jar from its head.
Once freed, the skunk scurried off, and the officers returned to their duties—thankfully, without a spray incident.
The unusual encounter gave the officers a story they won’t soon forget.
