‘Extremely bizarre’: Man allegedly ran over date after she didn’t let him smell her feet

AVENTURA, Fla. (WKRC) – A Florida man is facing serious charges after he allegedly ran over a woman with his SUV during their first date, reportedly triggered by her refusal to let him smell her feet or sell him her worn sneakers.

According to a probable cause affidavit reviewed by Law&Crime, the woman met 28-year-old Elmoncy Sercle through the dating app Seeking. Formerly known as Seeking Arrangements, the app initially gained popularity as a platform connecting so-called “sugar daddies” with “sugar babies,” but now emphasizes fostering “genuine and aspirational partnerships.”

The pair met on August 24 around 2 p.m. at the Serena Hotel in Aventura. The woman told police that Sercle quickly expressed a desire to sniff her feet and purchase her used sneakers.

“When I got there, he just wanted to sniff my feet and I didn’t feel comfortable with that,” the woman told local outlet WPLG. She added that while she had no issue selling her old sneakers, she wasn’t comfortable with the other request.

She reportedly told Sercle he could buy the shoes for $1,000, a price she said reflected her work as a foot model, but explained the shoes were in her car. According to the affidavit, while the woman briefly stepped into the bathroom, she saw Sercle suddenly flee the hotel room, prompting her to suspect he had stolen something.

She followed him to the parking lot, where she saw him get into a red Mercedes SUV. Sercle allegedly performed a three-point turn and struck her with the vehicle, running her over and leaving her with bruises and road rash across her body.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this before,” she said in the interview. “I’ve met a lot of people with foot fetishes, obviously, but nobody has ever taken it to this level.”

She described the incident as “extremely bizarre.”

Elmoncy Sercle has since been arrested and charged with aggravated battery.
