Standing with Women – A Message from The News Beyond Detroit
Recently, it came to our attention that someone had been using online platforms to harass and intimidate women. We want to be absolutely clear: this individual is not, and has never been, a member of The News Beyond Detroit community.
The News Beyond Detroit and its members do not — and will never — support, allow, or tolerate the abuse of women, whether online or offline.
Our community was built on open dialogue, mutual respect, and shared values. Harassment, threats, and abuse have no place here. To stand in solidarity with the women affected — and to take meaningful action — we’ve made a donation, on behalf of our entire community, to a charity that supports and protects women. COTS DETROIT. COTS has been helping women and children who are victims of Domestic Violence since 1991, and they also help families in need of emergency services too. COTS has been a favorite of us at TNBD for a long time, and it’s great feeling for us to be able to help them and to help women who are fleeing Domestic Violence.

We are proud to run this website, and even more proud of the people who make up this community. Your voices, your integrity, and your commitment to doing the right thing are what define us.
This space belongs to all of us, and we will always stand up for what’s right.
