Chief Peeps Officer: Get Paid to Eat Peeps

Love ’em or hate ’em, Peeps are perhaps the most iconic Easter food on shelves every April. With their return to supermarkets this spring, our team wanted to combine America’s love (or hate) for the marshmallow treat with an opportunity for one of our readers to make extra money by contributing to an upcoming FinanceBuzz article.

We’re hiring a Chief Peeps Officer to taste and rate all the Peeps flavors they can find. From cinnamon churro to blue raspberry, there are dozens of Peeps flavors to try, but only a few can make our Easter baskets every year. That’s why we want you to help us rank them for our readers.

Love Peeps? This is perfect for you. Hate them? Maybe getting paid will be the only way you can tolerate them.

We’ll pay our Chief Peeps Officer $1,000 plus $200 to cover any grocery expenses.

Why we want to pay you to taste test Peeps
There’s no part of an Easter basket more divisive than Peeps. Some people can’t get enough of them, while some couldn’t be paid to eat them. But could they?

At FinanceBuzz, we’re always looking for ways to help people save on groceries, and the easiest way is to leave the grocery items that just aren’t worth it on the shelves. With so many varieties of Peeps available, we want to understand which flavors are best for the marshmallow-averse, but we need some help with the research. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll get
If selected, you’ll get paid $1,000 for completing our taste test. Additionally, you’ll get $200 to cover the cost of your Peeps shopping spree.

The assignment
This role is perfect for anyone who loves Peeps, but also perfect for those who feel the opposite. Our participant must have access to grocery and convenience stores the week of April 21, 2025.

Using the $200 provided to you, you’ll purchase and taste test 15 Peeps flavors and products (like their jellybean variant). Because flavors vary from store to store, you’ll have to scout which flavors you can get, and where to get them, to help our readers.

For each Peep, you’ll:

Photograph each product
Rate its taste and cuteness
Write a brief product review
We’ll share your experience on FinanceBuzz to help shoppers budget for their next Peeps haul.

Applications are due by April 20, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern, so you have enough time to shop before Peeps disappear from stores after Easter (April 20).

Applicants must be based in the United States and be at least 18 years of age. We will also update this page to announce our newest team member and share the final results.

FinanceBuzz is looking for someone to taste-test Peeps this Easter. If you’re selected, we’ll ask you to photograph and rate each food on several criteria. We’ll pay you $1,000 plus $200 to buy all the Peeps you can find.
