I want my money back! Our Teen Stole Hundreds From Our Emergency Savings. My Husband Wants to Let Them Off the Hook.

Our teenager stole several hundred dollars from the emergency savings we keep in our bedroom. Once we realized it was gone and pieced together what happened (our teenager also confessed), the money had been spent. I feel the amount should be worked off at a fair rate. My husband thinks our teen might have been impulsive because of their ADHD medication change, and a serious conversation is enough. I love that my husband is fair-minded, but it doesn’t sit right with me to not expect restitution, even if it’s simply many hours of dog walking. What’s the best way to approach this?
