Why Are German Shorthaired Pointers Such Velcro Dogs?

If you’re looking for a Velcro dog that wants to be by your side 24/7, the Mid-Atlantic German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue says a GSP might be the dog for you.
The rescue explains that GSPs are often considered the definition of a Velcro dog because “they can be quite clingy and are extremely affectionate by nature. GSP’s are devoted, often to the point of dependency.” They’re also incredibly athletic and energetic, so climbing onto the roof of an office probably wouldn’t surprise many GSP moms or dads.
The rescue adds, “They love being with their family. They like to be near you at all times and may follow you from room to room.” That’s exactly what Remi was trying to do—she just took a much more dramatic route to get there.
