BREAKING: AN EASTER MIRACLE! Second Pilot from Downed F-15 Fighter Jet RESCUED In Iran By U.S. Forces Following BRUTAL and INTENSE Fight With Iranian Terrorists (VIDEOS)
The second pilot and Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) from the downed F-15E fighter jet on Friday have been rescued in a ground-based U.S. operation, following a tense and intense engagement with Iranian forces.
The pilot’s safe recovery comes after a high-stakes mission in southwest Iran, conducted on the eve of Easter, demonstrating the skill and determination of U.S. military personnel.
Author and journalist Toby Harnden, a former British foreign correspondent, first reported the news. Fox News journalist Jennifer Griffin has now confirmed that the pilot is safe, along with the U.S. personnel involved in the extraction. All members of the rescue team have successfully exited Iran.
According to Griffin, the WSO ejected along with the pilot after their F-15E Strike Eagle was struck Thursday night (early Friday local time). Using SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) training, the WSO avoided capture by hiding on an elevated ridge and activating an emergency beacon.
The missing WSO from the shot-down USAF F-15E is now safe and back in American hands. An officer involved in monitoring the CSAR in southern Iran describing the aviator’s incredible tenacity: “He evaded up a 7k ridge. They’ve been schwackin’ dudes chasing him all day. Was nuts.”…

U.S. Special Operations forces, including Air Force Pararescuemen (PJs), participated in the multi-layered rescue mission. Their objective was to locate the crew member while keeping Iranian forces at bay. Videos from local witnesses suggest clashes occurred on the ground, showing Iranian IRGC and Basij forces who suffered casualties during the operation.
Fox News reports that there were no American fatalities. “It was a very complex operation to retrieve the downed service member,” a source familiar with the mission said, noting the involvement of multiple branches of the U.S. military.
An A-10 Warthog, involved in providing cover for the rescue, crashed in Kuwait during the mission. The pilot ejected safely. The F-15E was destroyed on impact, along with sensitive equipment onboard, highlighting the mission’s complexity.
Two U.S. helicopters were hit by enemy fire during the operation, and crew members were injured but successfully extracted from Iran.
Independent reporter Mario Nawfal first revealed that the ground rescue mission was underway after locating the second pilot. Iranian state media claimed that repeated U.S. airstrikes on IRGC and Basij convoys prevented Iranian forces from reaching the pilot.
Additional reports indicated that two more U.S. aircraft were downed in the Middle East on Friday. Iranian officials had reportedly offered a reward for the capture of the second pilot. Despite these challenges, all U.S. personnel involved in the rescue are now safe.
