Two Nicaraguan Illegal Aliens Who Entered US on Biden’s Open Border Invitation Arrested Following Machete Attack at Florida Laundromat

Police in Florida have arrested two Nicaraguan nationals following a violent machete attack in Arcadia, authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred on February 22 at SuperMatt Laundry in the city of Arcadia. Officers from the Arcadia Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance and discovered a man with a serious wound believed to have been caused by a machete.

The suspects fled the scene, but law enforcement later located them during a traffic stop conducted with assistance from the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office.

The men were identified as Rafael Hurtado-Martinez, 29, and Yeri Flores-Salgado, 33. Both were charged with aggravated battery involving a deadly weapon. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed that both individuals are in the United States illegally.

Authorities reported that Hurtado-Martinez is currently being held in ICE custody in Louisiana. Flores-Salgado remains detained at the DeSoto County Jail without bond after being accused of violating the terms of his probation.

Records show that Flores-Salgado had been placed on five years of probation beginning in March 2025 after felony convictions for property damage and vehicle theft.

Officials said both men entered the United States through the southern border and were released under immigration policies in place during the Biden administration.

President Trump closed the border shortly after returning to office in January 2025, but officials say the effects of the previous four years of border policies are still being felt.
