LAUGHABLE: Jasmine Crockett Tells MSNOW That Republicans Will ‘Absolutely’ Vote for Her in a General Election
Progressive Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who is running for the U.S. Senate in Texas, recently told MSNOW host Michael Steele that Republican voters would “absolutely” support her because of her authenticity.
Crockett, who has gained national attention for her frequent media appearances, argued that Republicans aren’t necessarily seeking “Republican lite” candidates. “What they want is somebody that they know who they are,” she said, adding that she has received text messages from Republicans pledging their support if she advances. Crockett also referenced Republican voters supporting President Donald Trump in past elections, noting that they “don’t seek perfection” in their candidates.
While she frames herself as a rising star in progressive politics, Crockett’s campaign spending has drawn scrutiny. Federal Election Commission filings reveal that in 2025, she spent over $124,000 on luxury hotels, high-end transportation, and private security for her House and Senate campaigns.

Hotel expenses alone totaled $32,685.58, with $11,841.27 spent in the final quarter of 2025 at top-name properties such as the Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Hotel Zaza, Kimpton, and the Los Angeles West Hollywood Edition. Transportation costs included $11,738.60 on limousine and luxury car services, including Bay Area Lux Limos and Detailed Drivers, a “white-glove” service.
Crockett, who has previously called President Trump a “slick con man,” continues to be a prominent figure in progressive politics, though her appeal to Republican voters remains uncertain.
