Near-naked bandit — wearing nothing but a tablecloth — arrested for string of alleged car robberies
Mackienzy Kahl was arrested for stealing and attempting to break into several cars in Georgia.
A nearly naked man wearing only a tablecloth allegedly led police on a bizarre carjacking spree through a Georgia neighborhood before being arrested, authorities said.
Gwinnett County police reported that officers were alerted Friday to a stolen vehicle believed to be connected to the suspect, identified as Mackienzy Kahl. Later that day, officers located the vehicle, but Kahl was no longer inside. Witnesses told police he had fled on foot, and officers observed indications that he may have been exposed to chemicals while in the car.
Police have not confirmed what substance Kahl may have encountered, though body camera footage shows officers discussing the possibility of chlorine exposure near an abandoned pool service truck.

As officers searched the area, multiple 911 callers reported seeing a man matching Kahl’s description wandering through the neighborhood wearing only a tablecloth and attempting to enter several vehicles, police said. Surveillance video released by authorities shows the suspect wearing glasses, blue slippers, and a beige tablecloth loosely wrapped around his waist.
According to police, Kahl later entered an occupied home and took keys to a Mercedes before driving away. Officers quickly located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and took Kahl into custody at gunpoint, as shown in police body camera footage.
Kahl now faces multiple charges, including theft by taking, first-degree burglary, entering an automobile with intent to commit theft or a felony, loitering and prowling, and driving without a valid license, police said.
