We have everything under control.” The image was intended to criticize the governor’s handling of public safety and crime in the city.
President Trump has frequently criticized Governor Pritzker’s leadership, particularly over crime rates in Chicago and the governor’s opposition to federal law enforcement efforts. The meme followed Trump’s announcement earlier this week that National Guard troops would be withdrawn from Chicago, Los Angeles, and Portland.
