Slow cooker french onion beef tips

1 large onion sliced
1-2 pounds stew meat or beef tips
1 pkg au just mix
1 pkg onion soup mix
1 can french onion soup
1/2 stick of butter
Swiss or gruyere cheese shredded
Add all ingredients to crockpot cook on low 6 hours top with cheese serve and enjoy
