Trump Announces Aid Package To Farmers To Help Them Deal With How Amazing Economy Is

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Trump on Monday announced a $12 billion aid package aimed at supporting American farmers, citing the need to help them navigate a strong economy.
The initiative, called the Farmer’s Bridge Assistance Program, was reportedly developed in response to farmer concerns, though the president emphasized that the economy is “doing just tremendous.” Funding for the program will be redirected from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
“Farmers — they don’t know anything. I love them, but they’re out in the fields all day doing their work. They don’t understand money,” Trump said during a Cabinet Room roundtable at the White House. “So we’re going to throw some money at them so they can handle just how well the economy is doing.”
Farmers reportedly tried to discuss specific challenges, including rising supply costs, falling crop prices, and labor shortages. Trump appeared to dismiss these concerns, pointing instead to a chart showing a 3% inflation rate. “The numbers are down, which means the economy is up,” he said. “That’s just basic math. And you can take it from me, I’m a math wiz. Everyone says so.”
Despite questions about the program’s rationale, sources say many farmers are eager to receive the aid.
At the time of publication, President Trump had also urged the Federal Reserve to continue lowering interest rates to align with what he described as a booming economy.
