Mark Warner Says ‘Uniformed Military May Help Save Us from This President’

During an appearance Wednesday on MS NOW’s Morning Joe, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) said he believes the uniformed military “may help save us” from President Donald Trump’s actions.
Co-host Mika Brzezinski asked Warner what he plans to press Admiral Bradley on during the upcoming hearing.
Warner responded, “I want answers about what Pete Hegseth directed, and why the full, unedited video hasn’t been released. If nothing improper happened, that footage could have resolved this without bringing the admiral in. I respect his long-standing reputation, but I want the facts. And I’m not convinced we’ve gotten that from Hegseth yet.”
He continued, “This administration has shown unprecedented disrespect toward the uniformed military — bringing them in for a pep rally in front of Hegseth and Trump, for example. They’ve also dismissed uniformed generals leading agencies like the NSA and the Defense Intelligence Agency. In many ways, I think the uniformed military may ultimately help protect us from this president and people like Hegseth, because their loyalty is to the Constitution, not to Trump. I expect Admiral Bradley to uphold that commitment.”
