Ocean Spray is looking into reports that some of its cranberry sauce cans contained water instead of sauce this Thanksgiving.

“We’re aware of a few reports about cans containing water instead of cranberry sauce, and we’re investigating how this may have happened,” the company told NBC News on Monday.

The issue drew attention after a TikTok video went viral showing three Ocean Spray cranberry sauce cans—one opened on camera—filled with water rather than cranberry sauce. The video, posted Friday, has been viewed nearly 10 million times.

A separate Facebook video shared on Thanksgiving showed someone opening an Ocean Spray can to find only water inside, with a caption reading, “This was my Ocean Spray cranberry sauce yesterday… 4 cans… who else had this happen?”

“Millions of families enjoyed their cranberry sauce this holiday season, but even one can not meeting expectations matters to us,” Ocean Spray said. “We’ve reached out to the people who shared these videos to learn more and make it right.”
