Trump Declares Any Document Signed by Biden with Autopen is Terminated – Threatens Biden with Perjury Charges
President Trump on Friday announced that any document signed for Joe Biden using an autopen should be considered invalid, declaring such documents “terminated and of no further force or effect.” He also suggested Biden could face perjury charges over the issue.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump claimed that “approximately 92%” of documents attributed to Joe Biden were signed with an autopen, saying the device cannot be used without explicit approval from the sitting president. Trump argued that staff members, not Biden himself, oversaw the signing of those documents.
According to Trump’s statement, “The Radical Left Lunatics circling Biden around the beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office took the Presidency away from him. I am hereby cancelling all Executive Orders, and anything else that was not directly signed by Crooked Joe Biden, because the people who operated the Autopen did so illegally.” He added that if Biden insists he approved the autopen procedure, “he will be brought up on charges of perjury.”

Internal emails recently released by investigators appear to show that Biden did not personally review thousands of pardon requests processed at the end of his presidency. The messages suggest staff members chose which cases to sign with the autopen, sometimes after changes were made, and did not always seek Biden’s approval for revised lists. The White House Counsel’s Office is now reviewing the matter and is reportedly examining more than a million documents.

The Oversight Project, which first publicized the issue, has reported that thousands of clemency actions and executive documents were signed using an autopen. Earlier this year, the group found that six individuals were pardoned via autopen on December 30, 2022, while Biden was vacationing in St. Croix. The organization has since collected numerous documents bearing various versions of Biden’s signature.

In March, the Oversight Project said it had identified a second autopen signature used for pardons and commutations. By June, its president, Mike Howell, told Sean Hannity’s radio audience that a third autopen signature pattern had been discovered—one allegedly in use since the first week of Biden’s presidency.
