Bettors See a New Rising Name for 2028 Race

Marjorie Taylor Greene may be trying to tamp down talk of a 2028 presidential bid, but bettors don’t seem convinced. On the betting platform Polymarket, the soon-to-be-former congresswoman is currently ranked third among Republicans, according to the Daily Beast. She holds 5% support, trailing Secretary of State Marco Rubio at 8% and the clear GOP favorite, Vice President JD Vance, who sits at 55%. Even so, Greene’s rise places her ahead of several major conservative figures, including Tucker Carlson, Ron DeSantis, Ted Cruz, Donald Trump Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Nikki Haley, and even President Trump.
Speculation about a potential Greene campaign has grown since she announced she will resign from Congress in January following a highly publicized break with the president. Time reported that Greene has privately discussed the possibility of running, though she denied this in a lengthy social-media statement on Sunday, as reported by CNN. “I’m not running for President and never said I wanted to and have only laughed about it when anyone would mention it,” she wrote
