My Kid Is Now Vegan. And She’s Seeking Vigilante Justice on My Thanksgiving Dinner.

Dear Advice,
My 14-year-old daughter, Abigail, became a vegan over the summer. I respect her decision, but Thanksgiving is proving tricky. Abigail insists that the entire meal be vegan and has threatened to boycott dinner entirely, staying in her room if the meal isn’t fully vegan.
I’ve explained that she is free to make her own dietary choices, but she cannot dictate what the rest of the family eats. I’ve also offered to make special vegan versions of traditional dishes so she can still enjoy the holiday, but Abigail has made it clear that if anything non-vegan is on the table, she will not participate.
I want to support her choices without letting her dictate the family menu. How can I navigate this?
