“Max” has reclaimed its title as the most popular male dog name in the American Kennel Club’s annual ranking, bouncing back after being edged out by “Milo” last year. On the female side, “Luna” rises to the No. 1 spot, continuing its steady climb in popularity.
Naming a new pet is “a fun and important part of the process when acquiring a dog,” AKC chief Gina M. DiNardo said in a statement, according to People. She added that owners often put real thought into choosing a name that suits their pup’s personality.
