My Husband Blamed My Sister’s Dog for Something Our Kid Did. I Want Him to Fess Up.
Dear Care and Feeding,
Recently, my husband, “Matt,” stopped by my sister Allie’s place with our almost 4-year-old son, Dylan, to return a wet/dry vacuum I had borrowed. Allie stepped out to change her own son’s diaper, and when Matt turned around, he saw Dylan pissing against the living room wall! He told Dylan not to say anything, and when Allie returned, he claimed the dog was responsible.
I couldn’t believe it. When I asked Dylan what happened, he explained that he needed the bathroom but couldn’t get either his dad or his aunt to notice him and take him there. I gave Matt a serious talking-to, and he promised it wouldn’t happen again.
Do I need to tell my sister the truth, or should I let sleeping dogs lie?
