Lego Intros a Big New Build for Star Trek Fans USS Enterprise kit will cost $400
Whoa. (Lego)
Even Mr. Spock might raise an eyebrow for this one. Lego has announced a Star Trek set that boldly goes where no brick has gone before — a detailed, 3,600-piece model of the legendary USS Enterprise. Priced at $399.99, the set is scheduled to launch on November 28, perfectly timed to beam into the holiday shopping rush, reports USA Today.
Lego says the kit invites fans to “embark on a galactic voyage of creativity,” assembling Starfleet’s most famous flagship in all its glory. The Enterprise features a detachable command saucer, a secondary hull, and a working shuttlebay complete with two miniature shuttlepods. True to Star Trek tradition, every detail has been “engineered to perfection” — resistance, as the Borg would say, is futile.
The set comes with nine minifigures, including Capt. Jean-Luc Picard, Cmdr. William Riker, Lt. Commander Data, and other beloved crew members — though fans will note there’s no Capt. Kirk to shout “KHAAAN!” this time around. Each figure includes signature accessories that even Scotty would approve of.
Collectors who purchase the set between November 28 and December 1 will also receive a bonus 261-piece Type-15 Shuttlepod “support craft” set, complete with its own minifigure — a logical incentive, if you ask Spock.
With excitement already spreading faster than a warp-core breach, Star Trek and Lego fans alike are ready to set phasers to “buy.” Make it so.
