Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is once again facing backlash after praising the nationwide “No Kings” protests held Saturday — demonstrations critics say were thinly veiled attacks on President Trump and conservative Americans.
As reported by The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft, the rallies — organized by the progressive group Indivisible — took place in more than 2,000 locations across the United States and abroad. Cities such as Los Angeles, Boston, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, Kansas City, and Bozeman saw small gatherings, along with a few scattered events in Canada and Mexico.
Pelosi joined in the theatrics, declaring, “We’re gonna tear up the crown,” before dramatically ripping apart a paper crown while a handful of onlookers applauded. The moment, which she proudly shared on social media, was widely mocked online.

Critics pointed out the irony: Pelosi, who has held power in Congress since 1987, is hardly one to lecture anyone about clinging to authority. “If anyone deserves to be called royalty in Washington, it’s Pelosi herself,” one commentator noted.
Even with comments disabled on her post, Pelosi couldn’t escape criticism. Observers described the act as another desperate attempt to stay relevant while her influence — and reportedly her health — continues to decline.
