Former Hamas hostage Omer Shem Tov talks about the abuse he suffered under the Hamas barbarians.

Omer Shem Tov, who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, spent 505 harrowing days in captivity before finally being freed.

After his release, Shem Tov revealed chilling details about his time as a hostage — including how Hamas’s behavior changed following President Trump’s election.

“Hamas was very scared of Trump,” Shem Tov said in an interview. “They wanted Kamala to win.”

Shem Tov’s parents were among the founding members of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, an organization created to advocate for the safe return of those still held in Gaza. Since regaining his freedom, Omer has traveled internationally, urging continued efforts to bring the remaining hostages home.

He described how the atmosphere among his captors shifted after President Trump took office.

“As soon as Donald Trump was elected, they understood that he wanted to bring us back home,” Shem Tov explained. “So immediately, the way they treated me changed. He got me out. He got the hostages out.”

Shem Tov said that before Trump’s election, “we felt like nothing was happening.” But once Trump became president, “they were very scared of him.”

When asked who was afraid, Shem Tov replied, “The terrorists. They wanted Kamala to be chosen.”

He confirmed that politics were a frequent topic in captivity. “They wanted Kamala to be elected. But as soon as Donald Trump was elected, they understood that he wanted to bring us back home. So immediately the way they treated me changed.”

According to Shem Tov, the difference was unmistakable: “When Trump became president, the way they treated us changed. For me personally, that’s what I saw.”

When asked if that was because Hamas believed a deal was imminent, he replied, “Exactly. More food. Treated me better. They stopped cursing me. Stopped spitting on me.”
