The Israeli Air Force launched a wave of strikes Saturday, hitting about 120 targets in the Gaza Strip as its military campaign in the region pressed forward. Targets included buildings, tunnels, and a surveillance post identified as being used by terror groups.
According to the Times of Israel, several gunmen were killed during the operations. Weapons, including rockets and grenades, were also seized. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released drone footage of a strike on two men it identified as Hamas operatives attempting to plant explosives in Gaza City.

Gaza health officials claimed at least 44 people were killed in the early hours of Saturday, though their reports do not separate civilians from combatants.
The escalation comes as international pressure grows for a ceasefire and resolution to the two-year war.

At the same time, Israeli authorities are investigating widespread reports of strange phone calls made to citizens in Hebrew, in which callers posed as recruiters for Iranian intelligence. The automated messages offered “competitive salaries” and “comprehensive security” in exchange for working as Iranian agents, a move Israeli officials described as a mix of intimidation and recruitment.

Meanwhile, terror group Hezbollah marked one year since the death of its leader Hassan Nasrallah by releasing what it claimed was the last photo of him inside its “command operations room.” Nasrallah was killed days after the image was taken, in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut. On Saturday, thousands gathered at his tomb in Lebanon for a memorial service, the Times of Israel reported.
