Vice President JD Vance hosted a special episode of The Charlie Kirk Show from the White House on Monday, honoring the conservative commentator following his recent killing. Vance was joined by several prominent figures, including White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, who vowed a sweeping government response targeting what he described as a “domestic terror movement” on the far left.
“With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and destroy these networks,” Miller said. He cited organized doxxing, riots, street violence, and harassment as elements of a coordinated threat. “It is a vast domestic terror movement,” he said, adding that the administration’s response would be carried out “in Charlie’s name.”
Vance opened the show by acknowledging Kirk’s widow, Erika, and reflected on her words about her late husband’s character. “I took from that moment that I needed to be a better husband and I needed to be a better father,” Vance said. “That is the way I’m going to honor my friend.”
Later in the program, Vance called for national unity but said there could be no reconciliation with those celebrating Kirk’s death. “When you see someone celebrating Charlie’s murder, call them out — and, hell, call their employer,” he said, emphasizing that while political violence is rejected, public accountability is necessary. “There is no civility in the celebration of political assassination.”
“This is not a both-sides problem,” Vance continued. “While our side has its crazies, it’s a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far left.”
Other guests on the program included commentator Tucker Carlson, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Kennedy called Kirk a “spiritual soulmate” and credited him with organizing his endorsement of Donald Trump at a Turning Point USA rally last year.
