Actress and former The View co-host Rosie O’Donnell has sparked controversy with a social media post in which she accused former President Donald Trump of being a “child rapist” and labeled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “mass murderer.”
The comments were shared on O’Donnell’s Instagram account over the weekend, continuing a pattern of outspoken criticism from the comedian and political activist. The post quickly drew attention, coming just days after O’Donnell appeared on former CNN anchor Jim Acosta’s podcast, where she alleged that Trump suffers from “dementia” and “heart disease.” She also claimed that Trump gave convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein “a billion dollars over the time of their friendship.”

These statements come amid renewed tension between O’Donnell and Trump. Days prior, the former president posted on Truth Social that he was “giving serious consideration” to revoking O’Donnell’s U.S. citizenship, stating she is “not a Great American.”
O’Donnell, who now lives in Ireland, has frequently criticized Trump’s political views and public statements. She previously suggested he watch musicals to “learn” about America’s founding principles and LGBTQ+ history. She also warned that “fascism has taken hold in the United States” while attending a musical in London.
Most recently, she reacted strongly to the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, describing it as another sign that “we’re on the precipice of full-blown fascism in the United States.”
O’Donnell’s comments have reignited debate over the boundaries of political discourse, celebrity activism, and the ongoing tensions between prominent public figures.
