President Trump hints at ‘Biden Autopen’ portrait in new White House ‘Wall of Fame’ gallery
President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to include a jab at his predecessor, Joe Biden, in a new White House display he’s calling the “Presidential Wall of Fame.” The display, currently under construction in the Rose Garden, is part of broader renovations during Trump’s second term in office.
In an interview with the Daily Caller published Monday, Trump suggested he may feature a black-and-white portrait of Biden with an “autopen” — a reference to the controversy surrounding Biden’s use of an automated signature device while in office.
“It’s a decision I have to make. We put up a picture of the autopen,” Trump told the outlet, revealing a mock-up of the proposed portrait. While the image was not made public, Trump described it as “the same picture, but black and white,” adding, “Yeah, and I’m not using that one with the smile.”
Trump predicted that the portrait would stir controversy. “This is going to be very controversial,” he said.

The autopen became a point of contention in July, when the White House announced an investigation into Biden’s use of the device to sign official documents. Tens of thousands of records from the National Archives were reportedly turned over to federal investigators. A Trump administration official questioned whether Biden had personally authorized the use of the autopen or delegated that responsibility.
“The only time a legitimate use of the autopen should happen is if the president said he wanted something done, or if he was asked for his approval,” the official said.
During the interview, Trump also commented on Biden’s presidency and health, referencing a widely disputed claim that Biden has “Stage Nine cancer” — a diagnosis that does not exist in medical classifications. “He says he has Stage Nine cancer. That was what? Two, three months ago? Stage Nine. I’ve never heard of more than Stage Four,” Trump said.
It remains unclear when the “Presidential Wall of Fame” will be unveiled, but Trump has prioritized major renovations to the White House grounds in his first year back in office. In August, he announced that construction on a $200 million White House ballroom will begin in September.
Trump also recently addressed damage in the Rose Garden, blaming a subcontractor for mishandling gardening equipment and damaging custom limestone during landscaping work.
