Illegal Alien Convicted Child Sex Offender and Gang Member Discovered Living INSIDE a Daycare in California
SAN DIEGO — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of a convicted child sex offender and known gang member who was discovered living in an active daycare facility in San Diego, California.
The individual, a Mexican national with a history of serious criminal convictions, was taken into custody by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) team. According to Patrick Divver, ERO Field Office Director in San Diego, the man had previously been convicted of multiple offenses, including child sex crimes, firearm possession, driving under the influence, domestic violence, assault, battery, robbery, and illegal reentry into the United States after removal.
“Today, ICE officers in San Diego arrested an undocumented individual with a disturbing criminal history,” Divver said in a statement. “At the time of his arrest, he was found residing in an operational daycare center alongside his partner, where children were present on a daily basis. This arrest underscores the potential public safety threats posed by individuals with serious criminal backgrounds.”

ICE emphasized that the case reflects broader concerns about public safety and the agency’s ongoing efforts to identify and remove individuals who pose risks to communities.
“This case illustrates why ICE continues targeted enforcement in areas like San Diego—to remove individuals who threaten community safety,” Divver added.
The daycare facility and circumstances surrounding the suspect’s residency are currently under further investigation by relevant authorities.
