Bike-riding youths terrorize Dem-run city as mobs swarm roads, while mayor stays silent on chaos
Traffic came to a standstill in Boston on Saturday afternoon after more than 100 individuals riding bicycles, dirt bikes, and electric scooters flooded a local highway, disrupting traffic and alarming drivers.
Massachusetts State Police received reports around 2 p.m. about the group traveling through the O’Neill Tunnel. Witnesses described a chaotic scene. “At first it was one or two bikes, then suddenly 20 bicycles,” driver Michael Filandro told WCVB. “It looked like a parade — no police, no escort. They were blowing through red lights and weaving between cars.”
Footage from bystanders showed dozens of helmetless riders speeding down the highway, recklessly maneuvering around traffic. At one point, a rider collided with a state police cruiser. According to WCVB, the rider fled on foot.

Only one person, 22-year-old Adam Harrison, was arrested at the scene. A trooper identified him as one of the riders, according to Boston.com. However, Harrison denies any involvement. “I saw the group heading up the Seaport bridge and thought it looked fun,” he told Boston 25 News. “But I wasn’t in the tunnel or on the highway. I don’t condone that kind of behavior — it’s reckless.”
Harrison pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on Monday. He’s scheduled to return to court on September 30. His arraignment was delayed due to a defense attorney shortage caused by a bar advocate work stoppage, Boston.com reported.

Neither the Massachusetts State Police nor Boston Mayor Michelle Wu responded to requests for comment. Wu has faced criticism in recent months over public safety issues in the city.
“It was scary,” said witness Michael Lancaster. “They just came ripping through on dirt bikes, revving their engines to announce themselves.”
