In 2017, President Donald Trump wanted to put his stamp on the welfare system, apparently in favor of a more restrictive policy. He said “people are taking advantage of the system.”
Trump said in October of 2017 that welfare was “becoming a very, very big problem, and people are taking advantage of the system.”
