We built our home about 5 years ago, and for at least the last 2 years we have experienced loud popping noises coming from the direction of behind the kitchen cabinets – you can hear it around the 5 second mark in the attached video. It happens at all times of year randomly throughout the day, so not related to weather. The cabinets don’t appear to be sagging, and with such a violent noise, I would assume that given how many hundreds of times we have heard the noise, they would have fallen already if there was a problem with them.

Any ideas? This recording from last night was so loud that it woke me up upstairs, and I’m concerned it could be something serious, but with nothing wrong visually I don’t know what we can do.
