TNBD’s TNBT – Add A Line Story
A new kind of story tonight, everybody. To help get into the mood of Thanksgiving, we are introducing the “ONE LINE AT A TIME” story time. The first time we’ve tried this fun storytime event.
This is a work in progress for all of you to participate in. We’re all together going to author tonight’s story,
The News Beyond Detroit – The Night Before Thanksgiving. TNBD-TNBT.
What is going to happen is that we are going to all write this story one-line-at-a-time, one person at a time. People will reply to the last line with their NEXT line. Then the next person will provide the next line. We will see where this Thanksgiving themed story takes us. Where will we end? Nobody knows.
We will start it up with the first line, and whoever wants to jump in with the next line can do it. You will reply to whatever the last line is. We know sometimes people will be typing their line as the same time as somebody else. And there isn’t much we can do about that. We just have to make the rule that if somebody beats you to the punch and their reply shows up, you have to stop what you’re typing and see if you can reply to that one instead. Do not start a new thread at the top. Only reply to the very last line.
We also request that even if you have some great ideas for several lines at the same time, please wait for others to submit theirs. If after you post up a line, if you could hold out for maybe four or five others to put up their lines before doing another, that will make for more participation. If things slow down, or everybody gets writers cramp, you can ease up on this rule a little bit in the name of keeping the flow going.
We officially are saying that there are no limits to content, but we might step in if some outsiders come in and get vulgar or abusive. (unless it is funny).
