Conjoined Twin Influencers Die at 27 Following Medical Emergency

Ecuadorian social media personalities José Luis and José Armando Cevallos, conjoined twins who built a sizable online following by sharing their daily lives, have died at age 27 after suffering a sudden medical emergency.

According to reports from Ecuador, the brothers were hospitalized after José Luis reportedly went into cardiac arrest. Family friend Fernando Carrillo said doctors were able to stabilize him, but minutes later José Armando suffered a heart attack. Both men later died.

The twins had attracted more than 60,000 followers on social media, where they documented the challenges, milestones and humor of navigating life as conjoined brothers. Their posts offered followers a rare glimpse into a life experience most people could hardly imagine.

Their brother, Damián, said the family was devastated by the unexpected loss.

Just days before their deaths, the twins were still active on social media, continuing to post updates for fans who had followed their journey for years.

A message shared on their account thanked supporters for standing by them throughout their lives.

“Their joy, their story, and the love they shared will remain in our hearts forever,” the statement said.

While many influencers become famous for luxury lifestyles, pranks or viral trends, José Luis and José Armando earned a following simply by letting people see the world through their eyes, proving that authenticity can still attract an audience in the social media age.

The brothers were 27.
