Former “Bewitched” Child Star Erin Murphy Embraces Aging Naturally at 61
Fans who remember little Tabitha Stephens from the classic television sitcom Bewitched may be surprised to see how well actress Erin Murphy has aged. Now 61, the former child star recently sparked attention online after sharing a makeup-free selfie and revealing she has never undergone a facelift.
Murphy posted the photo to social media in 2025, pushing back against frequent speculation that cosmetic surgery must be the reason she still looks youthful.
“This is 61… without a facelift, without any makeup,” Murphy wrote, adding that she found it strange how often strangers assumed she had undergone procedures. She said comments suggesting she looks good only because of plastic surgery often feel less like compliments and more like criticism.
The actress later explained that she decided to post the bare-faced photo because she wanted to promote a healthier conversation about aging, especially for younger generations who spend so much time on social media.

A mother and grandmother, Murphy said many online discussions tend to focus on negativity and unrealistic expectations, particularly when it comes to appearance.
While some fans continue to speculate about cosmetic enhancements, Murphy insists her routine is surprisingly simple. During an interview, she credited good skincare habits rather than expensive procedures for helping maintain her appearance.
Among her personal favorites are basic skincare products and natural oils. Murphy said she regularly cleanses her face with jojoba oil and occasionally treats herself to a facial. She emphasized that skincare is not one-size-fits-all and that people need to find what works best for their own skin.
More than half a century after charming audiences as the nose-twitching youngster on Bewitched, Murphy remains a familiar face to generations of television fans. And if her recent social media posts are any indication, she’s perfectly comfortable letting nature work its magic.
