Father Barred From Witnessing Alabama Execution of His 5-Year-Old Daughter’s Rapist
Corey Holland said he wanted to be in the execution room to witness the execution of the man convicted of killing his 5-year-old daughter. However, a pending child-endangerment case against Holland prevented him from witnessing the execution.
The convict, Jeremy Williams, 42, was scheduled to die by lethal injection at William C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama. Williams pleaded guilty to raping and killing Kamarie, Holland’s daughter, in December 2021. He later asked for the death penalty during his sentencing in April 2024.
Holland says the execution should have brought some closure; instead, he has been shut out of the final moment. He shared, “This is so hurtful because if anybody deserves to be there, it should be me. Nobody gonna be in that room who loves Kamarie more than me.”
The reason he was barred from the execution is that Holland was indicted by a Russell County grand jury in 2022. He was accused of violating a custody order by allowing Kamarie and her siblings to go with their mother, who did not have custody of them at the time.
That charge is the reason officials say Holland could not attend the execution. Holland has called the case a “bogus charge” and maintains that he is innocent. He said he wanted his children to see their mother because he wanted them to have a normal childhood.
He mentioned, “And not to put that monster on a pedestal, but I always thought she loved my kids and would never let anyone harm them. And I want to reiterate that I never knew she was doing hard drugs.”
Holland points to his actions after Kamarie’s death as proof that he has nothing to hide. He said, “I was at my daughter’s funeral, all her birthday celebrations for the community, the rallies I attended for our youth, the news interviews. I was front and center because I knew my innocence and my conscience is clean knowing I love my kids with all my heart and will never normally put any one of them in harm’s way.”
Holland says his legal case should not take attention away from Kamarie or the justice he believes she deserves. He said, “It was getting justice for my princess and everything else behind that. I can’t think of proper words that’ll fit them. He is a monster, and she is a monster. Psychopath, both of them. Like, nothing nice I have to say about them, because what they did is unthinkable.”
According to WTVM, he wants people to remember Kamarie for her kindness. “She was always caring and concerned about other people’s feelings. And I don’t want nobody ever to forget that.”
The father mentioned that Kamarie loved being on camera and may have gone on to appear on television. He said, “They robbed her of just showing more love to the world because she had a lot more to give. It’s just hard living without her.”
Kamarie’s mother, Kristy Siple, agreed to let Jeremy Williams re her five-year-old daughter for $2500. According to police, she wanted the money to buy drugs. The incident happened in December 2021 when Williams took Kamarie from her home in Georgia to abuse the child. He later red her and killed Kamarie by strangulation, and also filmed the entire crime.
As of now, Siple is serving a 20-year prison sentence after she pleaded guilty to human s** trafficking of her daughter. As for Williams, in his final words, he thanked god for forgiving his sins so he could meet him in peace. He was pronounced dead at 6:16 pm CDT, and the world became a little better.
