A Walmart shopper in Georgia got an unexpected surprise after losing a wallet filled with cash thanks to a stranger who made sure it found its way home.
Tyrese Smith said he misplaced the wallet while inside a Walmart in McDonough and assumed there was little chance of getting it back, according to Inside Edition.
“I didn’t think I’d see any of [the money] again,” he said while speaking to the outlet.
However, later that day, someone showed up at his home and rang the doorbell. The person — who didn’t state his name at the time — had found the wallet on the ground and personally delivered it to the address he found inside it.
“Does a man named Tyrese live here?” the man can be heard saying on the home’s Ring camera.
“He dropped his wallet at the Walmart, and I’m just returning it,” he added.
Smith said that all his cash was still inside the wallet upon its return, per Inside Edition.
Hoping to track down and thank the good Samaritan, Smith shared an image of the man captured on his doorbell camera on the I Heart McDonough Facebook page.
“Does anyone know who this nice human being is?” Smith asked.

The man’s father, Cordney Johnson, responded in the post’s comments and identified the person in the photo as his son, Cameron Johnson.
“This is my oldest son, Cameron,” he wrote. “He doesn’t have a Facebook account so he can’t respond. Glad that he found it and what we instilled was displayed here. Thank you for giving me a proud dad moment!” he added.
