‘Wonder Woman’ Star Lynda Carter Stuns Fans With Her Timeless Beauty at 75

Lynda Carter is reminding fans that some icons never go out of style.

The actress, best known for bringing Wonder Woman to life on television, sparked an outpouring of admiration after sharing a collection of glamorous photos on Instagram. At 75, Carter had many followers wondering whether she had somehow discovered the secret to aging backward.

One memorable photo showed Carter relaxing in an outdoor bathtub with a martini in her hand. Other images featured behind-the-scenes moments with friends and fellow cast members.

Fans Marvel at Carter’s Youthful Appearance

Fans quickly filled the comments with praise for Carter’s seemingly ageless beauty.

“I truly thought this was a still from a Wonder Woman episode,” one admirer wrote. “Lynda is timeless.”

Another asked, “My God, is she getting younger?!😍”

“YES YES YES you’re still a stunner. Show it all our forever Wonder Woman ❤️🙌🔥,” another fan commented.

A fourth added, “Can’t wait! And @reallyndacarter you look amazing!! You don’t age!!”

Carter Teases Her Return in ‘Super Troopers 3’

The Instagram post also offered fans a preview of Carter’s appearance in Super Troopers 3, scheduled to arrive in theaters on Aug. 7.

Carter shared photos with Succession star Brian Cox and director Jay Chandrasekhar while playfully teasing what audiences can expect from the upcoming comedy.

“@supertroopers Ride Again!!!” Carter wrote. “Follow them and us (returning cast) For a fantastic road romp!! But….wait for it…the last scene! I’m naked in a bathtub???? Oh noooo, @jaychandrasekhar you promised not to show that!”

Carter is reprising her role as Governor Jessman, whom she previously played in the original 2001 film and its 2018 sequel.

From Beauty Queen to Television Icon

Long before becoming one of television’s most recognizable superheroes, Carter found success in the pageant world. She was crowned Miss World USA in 1972 and finished among the Top 15 contestants at that year’s Miss World competition.

Just a few years later, she landed the role that would make her a household name. Carter starred as Wonder Woman in the popular television series from 1975 through 1979.

Still Inspiring Fans Decades Later

Earlier this year, Carter was honored by the Paley Center and reflected on what playing the legendary superhero has meant to her.

“It has meant so much to me to be Wonder Woman — she really is just the best!!” Carter wrote on Instagram. “Back then, the executives didn’t think a woman could carry a whole TV series …shows how much they knew! Ha! More than ever, the world still needs Wonder Woman. She is within all of us and don’t you forget it!”

Carter also drew attention in January 2025 when she attended Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week with her daughter, singer Jessica Carter Altman, 35. The two posed together outside the Schiaparelli show.

Carter is also the mother of a son, James, 38. She shared both children with her late husband, attorney and businessman Robert Altman.
