During an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman reacted sharply to comments from New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who recently suggested he would consider arresting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits New York for the U.N. General Assembly in September.

Fetterman dismissed the idea outright.

“Sit down,” he said. “Tough guy.”

Fetterman argued that Mamdani has no legal authority to carry out such an arrest and pointed out that the United States is not a member of the International Criminal Court. “He has no way to do that, of course, obviously. America’s not even part of that corrupt court. So he’s just a clown to even say that.”

Bartiromo noted that the rise of far‑left and socialist candidates is creating complications within the Democratic Party. She asked Fetterman directly for his thoughts on Mamdani’s threat.

“Well, he’s such a tough guy to say that kind of thing,” Fetterman replied. “He has no way to do that, of course, obviously. America’s not even part of that corrupt court. And so he’s just a clown to even say that. So he won’t try that. Now, just sit down and focus on the problems that they have in New York. That’s really not your purview. You and I know that. Sit down.”
