Canadian Woman Accused of Slapping MAGA-Clad Teen Lands in ICE Custody — HAA HAAA
A Canadian woman accused of smacking a 16-year-old girl over her pro-Trump clothing on the Jersey Shore boardwalk has now discovered that political outrage, alleged assault and an expired visa make a rather unfortunate combination.
HAA HAAA.
Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, allegedly confronted four teenagers near the Point Pleasant boardwalk on July 3 after spotting one girl wearing red, white and blue MAGA sweatpants bearing the word “ICE,” according to court records and police accounts.
The argument reportedly escalated until Tracey slapped the teenager across the face and body. Unfortunately for Tracey, she was allegedly filming the confrontation herself—and nearby surveillance cameras were filming it too.
Police later obtained an arrest warrant and charged her with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment and obstruction.
Then came the bonus round.
Federal immigration officials said Tracey entered the United States from Canada in April 2024 on a visa scheduled to expire that September. She allegedly never left, meaning she was unlawfully present in the country when police arrested her.
She is now being held at the Delaney Hall immigration detention facility in Newark.

Her husband, self-described TikTok personality Matt Geroni, has since complained bitterly about the conditions inside the detention center. He said his wife was forced to sleep on a metal bench beneath bright lights and spent roughly 24 hours inside a holding room.
Geroni posted a tearful online appeal demanding her release and attempted to raise money for her legal defense through a GoFundMe campaign, which was later removed.
He has insisted the teenagers provoked his wife, shoved her and targeted her because of her punk-style clothing. He also claimed police initially regarded the confrontation as a “nothingburger” before reviewing surveillance footage.
The authorities apparently ordered the larger meal.
The Department of Homeland Security described Tracey as a Canadian national unlawfully residing in the United States and said immigration enforcement officers had taken her into custody following the criminal charges.
Geroni’s pleas may have generated limited sympathy, partly because his previous social-media posts reportedly included wishes that President Trump and members of his family would develop cancer, along with another post hoping a future assassination attempt against Trump would succeed.
So the man who allegedly wished death and disease upon a president and his family is now asking strangers for compassion because his wife dislikes the accommodations at an immigration detention center.

Geroni said he wants his wife released—even if that means she is sent back to Canada.
That outcome may ultimately be decided by immigration authorities and the courts. Tracey has been charged, not convicted, and her husband disputes the official account of the boardwalk confrontation.
Still, the lesson appears fairly straightforward:
Do not allegedly hit children.
Do not overstay your visa.
And above all, do not wear an anti-ICE attitude while allegedly committing an offense that brings ICE directly to your door.
