Cape Coral man accused of exposing himself at Del Prado tobacco shop

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

A Cape Coral man was arrested after officers say he exposed himself to a victim at a tobacco shop.

According to an arrest report, an officer from the Cape Coral Police Department was called to a tobacco shop in the 120 block of Del Prado Boulevard North on Tuesday because someone saw a man exposing himself.

According to the caller, a man was taking off his clothes at the shop. The man reportedly told the caller to go with him and left the area in a blue Jeep. The caller told officers that she was sitting in her car next to the man, who had his windows rolled down.

The caller said the man exposed himself while saying “come here.” The caller said she recorded a video of the incident and took a photo of the vehicle the man was in.

Officers say they identified Richard Alan Sandle, 74, through the tags of the vehicle he was driving. After he was detained, Sandle reportedly excused his actions by saying he had an itch. He reportedly did not reveal any medical problems to officers.

Sandle was arrested. He faces an indecent exposure charge.
