Viral video shows black delivery driver clapping back at White woman over ‘You don’t belong here’ remark
A metro Atlanta delivery driver fired back at an older woman after she allegedly made racist comments, and a video of the confrontation has gone viral on social media.
The woman, identified on Instagram as Chiquita Wilder, shared a video titled, “Tell a Granny to tell a Granny to stay out my way when I am hustling,” and referred to the older woman as a “Karen.”
Wilder was reportedly delivering a package to a customer’s home when what began as a routine stop took an unexpected turn, as an elderly woman confronted her in the driveway while she was just preparing to leave.
The woman claimed Wilder was blocking her driveway before telling her, “You don’t belong here,” while pointing a finger at her. Wilder responded, telling the woman that if she doesn’t stay at the customer’s property, she won’t have anything to worry about.
“You better get away from behind my vehicle, before done take your a** down the road with me. Thank you,” clapped back Wilder, as the older woman then walked away.
“I was there for 5 seconds,” Wilder explained in the Instagram video, which has garnered more than 280,000 views. “Parked in the driveway of the person that I had to deliver a package to.”
Social Media Users Support Delivery Woman
The video sparked widespread reactions online, with many users expressing support for Wilder, while criticizing the older woman’s behavior. Wilder accompanied the post with the hashtags “#humor,” “#karensofinstagram” and “#karenstrikesagain.”
“Now why would you take her down the road,” joked one Instagram user, adding laughing emojis. “When you start mocking her ‘u don’t belong here’,” another wrote.
“She ate with that closing statement,” wrote one person. “Karen got the wrong one today. They better leave my niece alone,” wrote Wilder’s aunt.
“Hold on this lady is after everyone this is the second time I’ve seen her on someone’s case,” commented one user.
“She handled Karen very well! Well done sister,” added another.
The video has received more than 16,000 likes and over 1,100 comments, with many users criticizing the older woman’s behavior and calling for stronger safety protections for black delivery drivers.
