Terrifying doorbell cam captures knife-wielding maniac stalking California neighborhood
A frightening incident in a Sacramento-area neighborhood has left residents on edge after a man armed with a knife was captured on doorbell camera footage aggressively lunging toward a home’s front door. The suspect, who has not yet been caught, sparked panic throughout the Arden area.
Rebecca Breen and her husband were at home বৃহস্পতিবার evening around 8:30 p.m. when their Ring camera began sending multiple motion alerts. According to Breen, they initially noticed unusual activity through the notifications on their phones.

Shortly after, loud knocking at the door drew their attention. When they checked the camera feed, they saw a disturbing scene unfolding. A man appeared outside their home, holding a knife and repeatedly thrusting it toward the front door in a threatening manner.
Breen described the moment as deeply alarming and immediately called 911.
Authorities say several residents in the neighborhood also reported the armed individual, prompting a rapid response from deputies. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Lt. Amar Gandhi said officers arrived in the area within minutes, but the suspect had already fled.

A helicopter was also used in the search, but the man was not located.
Officials emphasized that while the situation was dangerous, no one was injured. Residents were advised to remain inside, secure their homes, and contact authorities if they encountered suspicious activity.
Breen said she does not believe her home was specifically targeted, but the randomness of the incident adds to the concern.

Neighbors have voiced frustration over the response, noting that private security did not appear and that communication from law enforcement took time following the incident.
The suspect remains at large as the investigation continues.
