Woman shoots gas station clerk point-blank in attempted gas station robbery: dramatic video
Authorities in Maryland are searching for a woman suspected of shooting a convenience store employee during an attempted robbery this past weekend.

According to police, the incident occurred at a Shell gas station in Columbia at approximately 7:43 p.m. on April 17. Security video from inside the store shows a woman approaching the counter and pulling a silver revolver from her purse. She appears to point the weapon at the clerk, who is off-camera, seemingly demanding access to the register. The footage captures her firing once, though investigators say multiple shots were actually discharged. The clerk was struck and left in serious condition before the suspect fled.

The injured employee is being treated at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and is currently recovering.
Police describe the suspect as a Black woman dressed in a black dress and slide sandals. The Howard County Police Department has announced a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to her capture.
