Dumpster company unloads a mountain of trash on man’s driveway in wild video

A dispute between a Bay Area dumpster rental business and a customer in San Pablo escalated when a company employee dumped a large pile of garbage onto the customer’s driveway after the company said it had not been paid.

Martin Perez, who owns Express Rental Dumpster, said the homeowner rented one of his company’s bins to remove trash from the property. According to Perez, the credit card information provided by the customer did not work, and repeated attempts to collect payment were unsuccessful.

Ring camera footage showed what happened when the driver showed up to get the bin.

Perez said the card associated with the rental was declined. He explained that the customer repeatedly promised to pay later but never followed through.

After what he described as multiple broken promises, Perez decided to have one of his drivers return to the property to pick up the dumpster. When the driver arrived, the bin was filled with garbage. Perez said his company had already spent money delivering the container and sending someone back to collect it. Because of that, he said he did not want to pay the additional disposal fees required to take the trash to a landfill.

Instead, the driver emptied the contents of the dumpster directly onto the customer’s driveway. The incident was recorded by a Ring doorbell camera.

A neighbor later contacted police after noticing the growing pile of trash. Officers told the driver that the garbage could not remain on the sidewalk and would need to be removed.

Later, people searching through the trash spread the debris even further. Neighbors eventually stepped in to clean up some of the mess and placed a tarp over the pile.

One nearby resident, Mary, said the homeowner told her the dumpster rental had already been paid for. She said the homeowner claimed to have paid $700 for the service and was confused when the truck returned and dumped the trash onto the ground. Mary said she did not know what led to the situation.
